Une fille Un Style

One of the first features I read in french Vogue is the standing section, Une fille Un Style. So therefore I thought I´ll use it as a guide to present myself and my style.

Style
For me the combination of preppy and bohemian is the ultimate way of dressing. I seldom wear anything else than clothes made in natural fibres such as silk, cotton and cashmere, as they feel the softest against my skin. Comfort is a keyword. I take great notice in details and I love the understated luxury of wearing my perfume as an accessorie. How I end up looking as I walk out the door depends on my mood, I often take inspiration from films and the senstion they give me. French 60s singstresses like France Gall are inspirational. Ali McGraw in Love story gives me an idea of what kind of woman I can be, and of course Sofia Coppola is a great inspiration as you can see in my previous post. Other inspiring women are Vanessa Paradis, Audrey Hepburn and Charlotte Gainsbourg.

Daytime
Jeans and a blouse, cardigans and girly dresses. On my feet, flat boots or ballerinas. No makeup, only my perfume. Lots of white, grey, black and muted colours like taupe as a base, then I add a splash of colour here and there. Hair in a ponytail with or without a fringe.

Evening
A flirty dress, high heels and lots of eyemakeup. Loose hair.

Shopping
The items I purchase are things that I really hold on to. I rather spend more on less than less on more, as long as it is good quality that will last for a long, long time.



 

 
Tabous
Clothes that makes me feel uncomfortable in my own skin. I want it to be me that wear the clothes not the other way around.

Obsessions
Perfumes and lingerie. White blouses and gingham.

Bijoux

I often wear a goldheartpendant that was given to me when I was a baby. It gives me a feeling of belonging.

Perfume
I love the sensation a certain scent can evoke in you. When the perfumenotes melts and blends with your own skin you get an unique whiff of a precious moment. The memory of a scent can linger in the back of your mind for a long time. My favorite perfume is For Her by Narciso Rodriguez.

 

Beauty
I take care of my skin with Dermalogica and Burt´ bees. On my lips Försvarets hudsalva, from the swedish pharmacie.


Makeup

I hardly ever wear makeup, only if it´s a big night out, but looking into my beautybag you wouldn´t have guessed. Stila makes the best eyshadows in the cutest packaging and Clinique conceals eventual blemishes.

Home

My home is my castle. It´s cosy, personal and candlelit. I have a few antiques that I´ve inherited and I dream of having my own chrystalchandelier. I keep the things I like out for display so that I can look at them whenever I want.
